How Does the DuoFix Side-Fixing Guide Work? The DuoFix Side-Fixing Guide works when you lay a single board of Weathered Oak or Enhanced Grain decking, lay the Guide over the edge of the board, lining up the drill holes with the side of each board. Using the recommended Durafix screws and drill bit for your decking, insert the screws into the allocated holes to secure your decking board into place. As you pull the Guide away, the screw head will be flush to the board and disappear as you lay the following boards. Does the DuoFix Guide work with all decking types? The DuoFix Guide suits board widths of 145mm to 200mm. This makes it compatible with Millboard's Enhanced Grain and Weathered Oak decking, as well as some softwood decking boards.
